The wife and I visited as we read a review that this restaurant had good sake… safe to say the previous review did not do this playlce justice. They held the best of the best sake options and the chef was a magician. After our 3rd helping of sake we fancied a snack. Asked the chef what was his recommendation and he then offered us a few pairings of stunning dishes to match individual sake options. All pairings were fantastic and both sake and food were sublime. Would highly recommend this little hidden gem

I stumbled upon this hidden gem on Google Maps while exploring the Meguro area. This place specializes in fish and chicken dishes, offering a variety of Izakaya delights. Though I struggled with the handwritten Japanese menus, the chef was incredibly attentive and patient, guiding me to the most incredible chicken liver appetizer. The seafood rice bowl, followed by a hearty chicken soup, was equally outstanding. The sous chef added a touch of humor, practicing "mini golf" with a spatula. I loved the vibe here—thank you for the great food and warm hospitality! P.S. Credit Card accepted

Was looking for an authentic neighborhood Izakaya and came across this wonderful place on Google maps. Friendly and youthful vibe. The young chefs took traditional food and added subtle but modern takes to create beautiful bites. I wasn’t too hungry so the three dishes in the photo were perfect. Started with the cold tofu with generous amounts of bonito flakes, veggies, and seaweed. Followed by the sashimi plate. Then ended with a grilled fish. Note that they do not have any English menu so you’ll need Google translate with a working Internet. Nevertheless, highly recommended and I’ll be back if in the area.

Owner has a nihonshu (sake) diploma so there's a great selection of sake. Just let them know your preferences and they'll recommend something depending on what's available. All of the nihonshu I tried were great. Great food selection as well, standard izakaya fare as well as plenty of seasonal options. Clean and open atmosphere, perfect for going alone, with your partner, or friends.

Chef Hattori and Megumi combine style and substance with their inventive take on izakaya. I’m vegetarian and I have never been offered so many delicious options - highlights include the sour plum onigiri, avocado tempura and a divine miso soup made from scratch. It’s all delivered with lots of smiles and warmth. It made our first evening in Meguro so special!

We had a late night meal here that was absolutely amazing. Ordered a couple set meals with many dishes. Might have been the best meal of our trip. The service was so nice and courteous and tried to ensure we had a great experience even through the language barrier.
